Monopolar electrosurgical electrode

COOLINGBIS®  is a monopolar electrosurgical sealing dissector for soft tissues, intended for haemostatic sealing, coagulation and cut (models with blade).

COOLINGBIS®  uses radiofrequency (RF) energy and an internally cooled electrode (patented technology). Its unique technology provides great surgical safety, facilitating surgical resection of soft tissue and drastically reducing intraoperative bleeding.

Features

It provides great surgical safety, facilitating surgical resection of soft tissue and drastically reducing intraoperative bleeding.

Coagulation is performed using a metal by electrode located at the distal end, with a rounded tip, electrically connected to a radiofrequency generator. The references for DUAL working mode have a blade built into the electrode. The active electrode contains a closed hydraulic circuit with cold saline solution that is driven to the distal by a continuous perfusion pump. The cold liquid flow keeps the tissue surface below 100 ° C, constantly cooling the active electrode.

Long and short models are designed to be used in laparoscopy and laparotomy, respectively.

Clinical Benefits

DUAL working mode (coagulation and cut)

Internal cooling system

DUAL working mode (coagulation and cut)

Fast and friendly use

Combinable

Coagulation efficiency

Thanks to its unique technology and versatility, COOLINGBIS® provides great surgical safety, facilitating surgical resection of soft tissues and drastically reducing intraoperative bleeding.

Clinical Outcomes

Results of studies carried out to evaluate the impact of COOLINGBIS® in surgical interventions.

Reduction of complications

Less need of transfusion

Shorter postoperative recovery

Transection plane is completely regenerated after procedure

Reduction of local recurrence

Applications

Since it allows coagulation and cut of the tissue, it is especially intended for partial or total resection of organs, i.e. for radiofrequency-assisted surgical resection.

Liver

Kidney

Pancreas

Spleen

COOLINGBIS® is especially useful in clinical cases that involve:

Livers with poor hemostasis
> Cirrhotic livers
> Livers that underwent a lot of chemotherapy

Difficult to control bleeding
> Large vessels

Additional oncological ablation margins
> Very important in cases where it is necessary to prioritize minor resection

Pancreas
> To decrease pancreatic fistula in distal pancreas resections
